What should a study table and chair look like?
What kind of table is good
Height: After sitting on the chair, the knees should be at a 90-degree angle after placing the feet properly on the ground. From there, the height of the table should be such that the elbows can be placed at a 90-degree angle and the hands can be placed comfortably on the table. Generally, the height of the table is 28–30 inches (71–76 cm).
Width and length: There should be enough space to keep books, notebooks, lamps, water bottles, etc. It is better to keep the width two and a half to three feet and the length one and a half to two feet.
Footrest: There should be enough space to easily place the feet, so that the knees and feet can be moved and the legs do not have to be folded.
Color: Light wood color or light gray is helpful in maintaining attention. It is better not to be too shiny. Because, if the light reflects, it puts pressure on the eyes.
Drawers or shelves: Having small drawers or sliding trays to keep notebooks, pens, scales, calculators, etc. will reduce unnecessary sitting and standing while reading.
Height: The chair should be of such a height that when the feet are completely on the ground, the knees are at a 90-degree angle. It is better to use a chair that can be raised or lowered if necessary.
Back support: There will be support for the back, so that the waist can be kept straight while reading. If the backrest is slightly curved and there is support near the waist, there will be no pain even if you sit for a long time.
Arm rest: If necessary, there may be a place to rest your hands while reading.
Seat cushion: The seat of the chair is not hard, if it is soft or cushioned, it is easier to sit and read for a long time. It is better not to choose a very soft seat. Because, it bends the back when you sit in it
